Applying for a Grant?
The Grable Foundation endeavors to improve the lives of children and youth in the greater Pittsburgh region, with attention to kids whose opportunities are limited due to economic circumstances.

Application process
To apply, the first step is to complete our online inquiry form. Foundation staff will review each inquiry and follow up about next steps. Full proposals may be submitted only after an invitation from the Foundation.
The Grable Foundation’s trustees review grant requests three times per year. Please note that grant deadlines have changed for 2025 and 2026:

For summer program grants: Applications for summer programs will be considered on a rolling basis between January and April 2026. Applicants are encouraged to submit a letter of inquiry as soon as their summer program plans are finalized. Please contact Ryan Rydzewski (ryan@grable.org) with questions regarding summer grants.
Grant Process
Unless invited, requests from organizations or schools outside of southwestern Pennsylvania unfortunately cannot be considered.
Unfortunately, we cannot fulfill requests from individuals.
Indirect/general overhead/administrative cost assessments—such as those typically expressed by percentage add-ons and often applied by educational, research, and other institutions—cannot be included in a grant award. However, direct administrative grant expenses can be requested and will be considered if justified by the project budget.
